As part of the 10 year anniversary celebrations Heppleston Double Basses is proud to present a night of music with Ewan Hastie at London’s 1901 Arts Club on the evening of 29th July 2026.

Ewan Hastie is a multi-award-winning bassist and composer, quickly making his mark on the UK jazz scene. In 2022, he won BBC Young Jazz Musician of the Year, performing at London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall, and followed this up in 2023 with the Best Instrumentalist Award at the Scottish Jazz Awards.

Since moving to London, Ewan has worked with many of the country’s leading musicians, becoming a familiar name on the UK’s thriving jazz scene including Jean Toussaint, Nikki IIes, Denys Baptiste, Iain Ballamy, Claire Martin, Jim Mullen and Tom Ollendorff to name a few.

Joining him for this performance are friends and familiar faces on the scene, coming together for an evening of exciting  music consisting of classic American songbook standards.
